Swami Rama's ashram in the Poconos
(the Himalayan Institute)

It feels to me like just yesterday that we were strolling through the ashram grounds, singing kirtan through the halls, and racing out to join in for tennis with Swamiji. How
short life is! And in those days I never thought I'd be doing anything more than living
and working in the ashram and traveling with Swamiji. He used to say that life has
many chapters. I plan to keep my book open to these pages forever...

Summer tennis with Swamiji. See the man just behind Swamiji? That's my dad. Probably
keeping score...

We played until -> late in the night that evening. Those were the days! So much beautiful music
and prayer...

Our Wedding in Rishikesh, India

On the last day of Navaratri (the nine nights of the Divine Mother) in 1996, Dale and I were married in Swamiji's Rishikesh ashram on the banks of the Ganga. It was a four pandit wedding-- they told me there was one pandit for each ashram gate so that I could not escape. No, there was no escaping destiny and marrying the soulmate of my dreams!

See the pandit in the baseball cap?! That's what he wore while doing our wedding ceremony! Only in India!
