A few of the photos taken during the time at Swamiji's ashram in Rishikesh. So many memories! I vividly recall during my first trip to India with Swamiji in 1991-1992 that I finally felt as though I'd come home. India felt deeply familiar to me, and I no longer had that funny feeling inside me that I had to go somewhere. I'd finally arrived.

__________________________________ Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT) .. (Swamiji's hospital and medical college in the foothills of northern India) The hospital photos below are rare photos of the early days when the hospital was being built. Look at these photos and then take a look at the final result-- see the hospital now! Swamiji told me that this hospital project was his lifetime dream, and I watched him build it from the very first little pile of bricks to the incredible facility that serves remote regions that previously had no modern medical care. "I want to provide medical benefits in the remotest areas of teh Garhwal Himalayas. Everyone cannot reach HIHT. Let the HIHT reach everyone", Swamiji said. Hence, an extensive village outreach program was developed to reach over 70 million villagers living in this beautiful and rugged terrain of HIHT.
