30.May.2007- The programmer, John, is completing the final programming for the initial pre-launch phase of the Kirtan Connection website. The pre-launch phase is about to begin!

The Kirtan Connection website has been created to support the growing kirtan community of the world. Kirtan artists/groups and venues can post their information, and kirtan events will be able to be searched by artist/band, location, and/or dates. The Kirtan Connection website will assist: touring kirtan artists when scheduling events (so as to avoid double-booking events with other artists, if they should wish); venues who wish to advertise their kirtan events to the kirtan market; people who relocate to a new area and wish to find local kirtan scenes and events; smaller kirtan groups that were relatively unknown (due to lack of website presence); people wishing to start a kirtan scene; and general public who wish to find kirtan events in their area or discover new artists.

In the coming years, the International Kirtan Foundation will be adding additional features to the Kirtan Connection website and many new programs as well, including features for kirtan artist/group development. This pre-launch phase is open to all-- you don't need to be a kirtan artist to participate. The pre-launch phase will last about 30 days-- it is a short phase, as we want to officially launch this website very soon!
